Top Tips for New Kolbe Certified™ Consultants:

Tip 1: Start with You – One of the best things you can do to better serve others with Kolbe is to have a solid understanding of your own MO and how your own conative strengths help you at work, at home and beyond.

Tip 2: Spread the Love – Once you understand yourself, the next step is to put your learning about yourself in the context of others. Remember those two free Kolbe A™ Index coupons you received at Certification? Now’s the time to put them to good use. The good news is that you get a two-for-one in this step because when sharing Kolbe with others you also learn more about yourself and strengthen your Kolbe knowledge and application. That’s what I call a win-win-win!

Tip 3: Get Back to Basics – Carefully comb through your own Kolbe A result and the results of several others. Notice what is the same and what is different, what makes sense to you and doesn’t. Access the Certified Consultant Handbook, offering a wide array of information and resources at your fingertips. Get on the Certified Consultant Center and review the many resources including the online Certification binder (no need to lug your paper copy around – and it’s a searchable PDF), coaching guides, team presentations and more!

Tip 4: Use your Resources – If you’ve reached this step then you may be back to feeling overwhelmed. The good news is that you have some live humans who can help! If you’re still within your first month then you have your post-cert webinar coming up. It’s a great way to reconnect with peers for inspiration, education and a challenge to move forward in your Kolbe career. For the first six months you have FREE access to a Kolbe Master Consultant, so bring your questions about coaching conundrums, concept quandaries and client scenarios. Just contact your Account Rep to schedule some time.

Tip 5: Create Community – If you’re a social media junkie you can use technology to your advantage. Get on Facebook and LinkedIn and make some other Kolbe Certified™ Consultant friends. If you’re a little more old school when it comes to relationship building, send an email to someone you connected with at Certification (remember that contact list in your Newcomer Packet?) or look on the Certified Consultant directory and reach out to other consultants in your area.
